The conference will focus on several key areas – the future trends in private health care; investment priorities within the sector; and the move away from an accreditation focus towards continuous improvements in quality and patient safety. The relationship and interactions with health insurers and the public health system will also be explored. The conference is also a fantastic opportunity to discuss the proposed strategy on the future of health care.
There are some great speakers lined up for the event, including Secretary General for the Department of Health, Jim Breslin. Jim is a former speaker at our Leaders Dinner Series. We are looking forward to hearing him speak again. He gave a great insight into his background and the current challenges facing his department. To find out more read this summary of the event with Jim Breslin.
The conference is being organised by the Private Hospitals Association. The organisation has coordinated the representation of private hospitals for nearly 30 years. It acts as a forum for exchange of information and best practice between members. Over recent years it has become increasingly involved in contributing to the formulation of health policy.
Tom Byrne, a partner with Pathfinder, is attending the conference.
